CWCAF Endorses Candidates Ready to Fight for the Human Right to Water
Visalia, Calif. — Community Water Center Action Fund is excited to announce our endorsements for the California Primary 2026. These candidates are leaders who view the lack of safe and affordable drinking water in their communities as an environmental justice issue, and who seek to address the mismanagement, pollution, and scarcity causing this issue faced by hardworking, low-income communities of color.
“What we see with these candidates is their ability to value a model of co-governance, where community residents and local community-based organizations can engage in local decision-making, directly contributing to policy that creates real local solutions,” says Imelda Ramirez, CWC Action Fund, Field Director. “Our endorsed candidates will follow through on their promise of accountability and prioritize the steps necessary to achieve drinking water solutions for their constituents.”
Our endorsed candidates who are ready to stand by the Human Right to Water are:
Randy Villegas - Candidate for Congress CA, District 22
Michael Tubbs - Candidate for Lieutenant Governor
Eddie Valero - Candidate for Tulare County Board of Supervisors, District 4
Manpreet Kaur - Candidate for California Senate District 16
Hipólito Cerros - Candidate for California Assembly District 33
Esmeralda Soria - Candidate for California Senate District 14
