Join the Community Water Leaders Network (CWLN)

CWLN is unique to unincorporated communities and cities in California with long-term drinking water access and affordability challenges. The network is focused on water as a human right and informed by the realities of climate change.

CWLN Member Benefits

  • Sponsored professional development opportunities such as training on public speaking, transparent governance, understanding state and local water boards, and more.

  • Leadership development workshops by Community Water Center and guest speakers.

  • A support network made up of other electeds with experience leading by centering justice, community health, and water as a human right.

  • Access to drinking water, policy and election expertise and support, including, but not limited to support with candidate recruitment, re-election, and succession planning on your board, base building and voter education in your district, Identification of state and federal funding opportunities to bring more resources to your community.

  • Assistance with elevating the urgency of your drinking water concerns at the state level.
